EDIT: Don’t play this game as the new owners have completely abandoned it. The HACKER problem has overrun the game and inundated all aspects of play the last 2-3 weeks. You can’t reach out with screenshots or anything as their email inbox has been full for at least the same amount of time. I reached out to Apple 2 weeks ago and now find myself here again as nothing has been resolved. For players of this gaming genre who feel abandoned by recent ruinous decisions by supercell, I can’t recommend Plunder Pirates enough. It is a sorely underrated game and will most certainly surprise you. As you can see below, I originally wrote a positive review and am not happy at all to edit it. I’m leaving the 5 star review in place as it was a great game and so my message gets through, cheers! This game is awesome! Coming from Bandits vs. Lords and COC you can hit the ground running. You’ll love this game, cheers!

As this game is the only game I play in general I would say when I first saw it I liked it better than coc because it standed out. This game started going down sense last year when JH or mycom decided not to listen to they’re players and started ruining the game with nuke. Recently they changed the rating system because of of lower levels complaining about getting attacked by higher level. But in reality people who go passed 1800 get attacked by people in 1900 and 2000 rating. That why I like to stay under 1799 with my mini. They have put the rating system back when %40+ of player quit the game and a lot of good high paying players quit. So like a bubble that JH has been blowing on it has finally popped. Now instead of not listen to long time players like me, they have completely shutdown on us. With no updates, no fb posts, and lame replies in tickets. If you ever to listen too your players in the future maybe this game will be much more successful!

Game play is fun, graphics and ideas are very well put together. Main problem is the amount of people de ranking to raid lower tier bases. It seems you can have a level 10 base and raid a level 7 base if your Elo is the same as theirs. It's very hard starting off, but after 2 years of playing the game I can finally say I don't get raided as much and the only people I do get raided by are people that are level 150+ as I am only level 101. If the elo matchmaking system where to be changed by LEVEL + ELO, the game could be so much better. Then we would only be raiding people who are ACTUALLY equal to us. Even though right now they say where raiding equals, I find that completely BS and it can be easily proven by anyone who truly plays the game. Please fix ELO matchmaking THANKS!!!
