I recently bought this updated app, and I love the new soundscape, and the awesome updates to the audio and music (if you want the music). The settings in the app let you control all aspects of the sound. It was well worth buying the updated app! It helps me get to sleep every single night.
I’ve been using the original Windy for a very long time. I love it! I use it at bedtime. I appreciate Franz and the quality and value his apps provide. I love the graphics. And I don’t care what skin color the characters in illustration have. I don’t pay much attention to the illustration work anyway. I fall asleep quickly most of the time. I’ve tried a couple of other apps but I like this the best.
Been a long-time user of Thunderspace (which I prefer, but it doesn't run on my mac, so here we are) so I expected this to be great going in. As expected, the soundscapes are wonderful, and highly tweakable to suit your needs/wants. I took off a start because I don't understand the different "views" or the story, and hate (despise?) the icon. I'd pay to be able to change the icon and be able to substitute my own images as backgrounds. I miss the Thunderspace UI where I could easily choose the general geographic location from a side-panel and enjoy the sounds. No pictures, no strange animals/people (Rainy the Raindeer!?). Just a smooth color gradient. Two last comments: WHY FORCE LANDSCAPE? Also, if I wanted music, I'd play my own music. You're nature recordings are great, so I'm not sure why you'd want to muddle them by overlaying department store music.
