Away ~ Nature Sounds to Sleep

More awesomeness from Frank Bruckhoff and team!! “Away” is different in approach, but is just as gorgeous and has options to customize the sound and visual experience. Excellent! Devs, I do wish the UI icons would disappear completely because they are large and spoiling the gorgeous artwork. They could all reappear with a tap or double tap or give us the option.

Daily user here. This app and the others in this series, so to speak, all have a fantastic design that is beautiful, interesting to play with, and have a practical, intuitive interface. The sounds made by this app have never seemed mechanical or repetitious like some other ambient noise apps that just loop a noise sample. It does do odd volume things once in a while, but 99.9% of the time it does what you need it to. I don't think it has ever crashed on me. Update: knock on wood. Sometime soon after my original review this app started crashing about half of the time I lock the screen (on both iPhone and iPad), forcing me to unlock, reopen and lock again. I still think it's a great app, and it hasn't crashed except when locking so at least it doesn't disturb you once it's running right.

I am Gordon Hempton fan and now I'm also a Franz Bruckhoff fan. The number of nature CD's I've bought over the years and been disappointed in the unrealistic sound has been expensive and frustrating. The magnificent sounds of nature and a simple, easy to use interface make this app well worth the money spent. Thank you Franz for another quality product. Keep 'em coming!
