I've been using MyoAdapt since it first launched. I'm very happy with it so far and I think it's well worth the price. The workouts are interesting, challenging and seem very effective so far. I particularly like the ability to have different training environments and the flexibility on training days and times. This is something I've really struggled with writing my own programs or following cookie cutter templates--I'll feel really good about a program but then when life happens and I can't stick the the plan as written it tends to fall apart. My only suggestions would be: 1) the recommended warmups are great but they should all be at least 2 minutes--I can't do two warmup sets in 1 minute and then be ready to start the first work set as it sometimes suggests for lighter isolation exercises. I work around this by not clicking "start warmup" until I've done the first recommended warmup set, so not a big deal, but ideally it would allot 2+ minutes for all warmups 2) it would be great if there was a way to rate the exercises based on how enjoyable they are and how effective they feel and have the app learn those preferences and preferentially rotate through favorite exercises
I wanted to review, as I don’t think ppl in my demo are super common. I started lifting a year ago after a backpacking trip got me realizing that the effects of age-related muscle loss were very real. I hired a trainer so I could feel more comfortable in the gym, and while I was able to reach a goal I had of being able to do pull-ups, I wanted something more structured to work on overall muscle development and get that more muscular upper body that I think is often tough for women to get. I took a stab at putting a program together myself, but using this app is a lot less work. It’s actually not terribly different from what I was doing, but it makes life easier. I’m a big fan of Pak and Milo and I know that they’ll continue to make improvements and additions. Science wins!
Absolutely best lifting app I’ve encountered thus far. Simple to use with a fantastic user interface that’s definitely had a lot of thought put into it. Switched over from my previous app and it’s made my gym experience feel a lot smoother and time efficient (rep recommendations built in with memory for future sessions, automatic timer for rest times, exercises matching equipment available and preferences, RIR tracking). As a person who loves reading about fitness and being close to “optimal” the algorithm (so far) makes me feel confident I’ve got the best personalized training I can get while saving me the brain work. Highly recommend for anyone looking to shift training to a system that is personalized but requires minimal user input. I’m so happy with it I’m considering reducing my running load so I can lift an extra day per week.
Build muscle fast with workouts that adapt to your life. MyoAdapt is a science-based training app that creates personalized workouts and adjusts them...
