HyNote: AI Note Taker, Summary

As the title already states, I have ADHD and Autism. I have a difficult time with note taking because I oftentimes want to write EVERYTHING down rather than key points. As you can probably already guess, this makes it very difficult for me to stay present in the discussion since I am constantly trying to capture something in writing. I wanted to work on improving my skill with this and started using this tool to help train my brain to learn how to identify and capture high level points only. How I use it: when in a meeting or discussion where I need to take notes, I take notes manually and then use this tool to compare my summary notes against. Because I know this tool is “listening in” and available for summary, there is less stress on me to capture everything said like I previously was trying to do. It’s helped me a lot with my personal note taking skills. As my skills improve, I find I am learning to listen more intently and capture better notes with only high level points with less extraneous details. Additionally, I find the different templates to be a serious value for displaying different outputs. When I want to draft information on a particular topic, I record a long rambling audio recording on what I want to capture with as much detail as I can give. I ask the tool to organize and summarize what I said and I suddenly have my high level talking points. This becomes the first template for a rough draft with less of my AuDHD ramblings. I find it useful to hone my key points so I can focus on a better first draft that sounds more organized and with a clear direction. This tool helps me moving through the drafting process faster. It can quickly make sense of what I am trying to articulate and organize it for better comprehension for my intended audience. This tool is not inhibited by my AuDHD ramblings and organizes my points with easy. (Just for reference….this review was NOT written by AI. This was my own personal ramblings.)

I love this app so much!!!! I sometimes fall behind in lecture due to the pace being a little too fast and sometimes I miss a lot of important information. I bring this app with me and just let it record and I can focus on watching the lecture instead of worrying about jotting everything down. It saves you a ton of time on trying to make practice questions and trying to Google practice questions and their answers. It also allows you to upload stuff from your textbook and helps you make questions and will explain it to you in simpler terms if you ask it to. I used this app in addition to reading the textbook but it has saved me a tremendous amount of time on the time spent writing. Now I can just solely study! Thank you!

Update: nowhere did it say there was a monthly limit on premium. I just got notified I needed to buy more minutes!!! You only get 600 with premium. Very sneaky. The unlimited transcription was the main reason I got the program and paid for premium. Its less than a month later and they want another hundred. I found this and tested its ability against some big names. Although it took longer, it was a more accurate transcription. So much so I signed up for premium plus. Where it falls short is there is zero ways to organize your imports accurately. You can use hashtags, but they are assigned by the program and are not editable. You are also limited by only 10. I would say make these editable so you can correct the erroneous categorization by the app and increase the number to 20. OR introduce folders and sorting options in the “inbox” that would truly make this a core program for anyone needing a summarizer. You also can't fix words in the transcript yet. I'm sure that is a coming feature as all the others Ive tested has this. Also, for the price of premium plus, you should increase upload size limits. My classes are 75 minutes, the cutoff is 60 minutes. I haven't tried to upload documents yet.
