To me, it doesn’t matter that they don’t take bets directly; the whole pretext is the same: trick users into believing they’ve unlocked some professional edge when, in fact, sports remain unpredictable. As a former pro athlete, I can say with certainty that this app is redundant for famous clubs. They already have advanced tech and analytics. For smaller teams and real player development, this app offers zero value. It’s smoke and mirrors for investors and a trap for fans who deserve better. Shame on the VCs who backed this. Money may not smell, but this investment reeks of cynicism.
