Reviews: What People Think About Ruddarr

I wasn’t expecting much out of this app when I downloaded it and maybe that’s one reason why I’m so impressed, but this app really is top notch. It has all the features necessary to do quick maintenance and troubleshooting for when you don’t have access to your computer. Plus it’s UI is really easy to navigate and very pleasing to look at. The calendar section is the only place I found a couple issues with. I noticed at least one bug with a show title being incorrectly labeled and an option to filter between multiple Radarr and Sonarr instances would make the calendar a lot more useable for me. Actually the ability to use custom filters while using the interactive search would also be a very helpful feature to add. Other than that, I really love this app. So much so that I originally had the Sonarr and Radarr websites saved to my Home Screen as PWAs (I have original and 4k instances for each, which makes for a total of 4 different apps to navigate through) and I was able to get rid of them all and replace them with just one Ruddarr app. And of course the best part is that all the important features aren’t locked behind a paywall! So there’s nothing to lose by trying it out.

I’ve tried them all LunaSea, Helmarr. But none look and feel as good as Ruddarr does. (No this isn’t a bot comment I’m real) Ruddarr gives me an almost Apple TV feel, making the app very easy to use for anyone. Adding and removing shows from your radarr and sonarr library work well. As well as the download options (auto, interactive). They also have a nice UI for monitoring the active downloads for your download client, allowing you to actively cancel any active download.
Overall the app works as intended, connecting to your Radarr & Sonarr library allowing you to interact the same as if you were in their respective WebUI’s dashboard.
Would definitely give it a shot👍

So often with open-source apps like this, the UI is clunky, weirdly laid out, or just not good-looking. They typically work, but are noticeably worse-looking than their proprietary counterparts. Rudarr, however, works really well by giving you all the functionality from your media servers as you'd want all inside a pleasing, iOS-feeling UI. The notifications are also a great feature, getting callbacks on iOS is notoriously difficult for open source things. Great work to everyone who contributed!
