So off the bat, I like the game, however I feel like Iโm playing a beta version and not the launch version, and judging by the version history it has only been out 6mo. I love playing the roll of a grid operator. I find power generation fascinating and have been wanting a game that is more serious at simulating that, that also doesnโt have cartoon graphics. This game hits pretty close. Hereโs what I think needs improvement/ refinement: โขMap: I would love to see city names on the map and see interstates so there is some resemblance of location. Also please get rid of the green back ground, it looks weird and is annoying. โขPower plants: Iโd like to see greater variation in power plant, and you left out a major way to make power! Hydroelectric! Change the map to add some water ways and add hydro. Also Iโd like for there to be Natural Gas Plants that are actually called that and not low emission gas. Itโs just weird, call it for what it is. โขGrid: We need to be able to connect directly to the grid and not only be able to store power at stations. Add in peak demand and peak rates and ways to have some automation with having certain plants like gas come online during peak demand. Overall, anyone playing this game is likely a nerd like me, and you can never go wrong with adding detail and depth to the game. We want options. More power plant, more fluctuations in demand, make it seem more real with updating the map. Keep up the good work! Your on the right path!
Letโs start with bad because we all want to know. About a month of playing it is a great idle game. No forced ads, no pay to win etc. when it comes to earning points that is used for fuel storage upgrades, and everything else, the price difference between how fast you can earn them and how much upgrades are seem a little off, almost as if the players are heavily influenced by game mechanics to purchase them through booster packs later on in the game. Possibly increasing ad reward between 5-15 points and guaranteeing ads everytime you log on so it doesnโt seem like that is a major part of the games main focus. The P2X storage system lacks dicharge history and also needs individual discharging instead of a mass sell across all of your storages. Also when is the new items like the grid connectors and sea turbines coming out they seem to have been โcoming soonโ for a while now. Overall though with the critisism it is a genuinely fun idle game, definitely needs mechanical tweaking as said but I hope the developers will use this and hopefully expand the game even further.
Iโve played other games by this dev like AM4 and Iโm really pleased with this one. Of course, itโs still relatively new and not all the features are implemented yet but, itโs still good fun to mess with when Iโm bored. There are some strange bugs and quirks in game, but as mentioned before I believe the Devโs will be solving them soon. As far as my criticisms go, for those players who want to maybe invest more time into the game, it is rather frustrating. The points system is a little broken at the moment so unlocking some of the cooler features is very hard. Be warned the variety of plants and how many you can build is also very limited at the moment. However, all in all, Iโm very pleased with this game and where it can go! Give it a try!
