I travelled to Spain and Andorra. And bought Europe plan. Both countries was included. But after crossing Andorra border internet disappeared - activation error. Help desk offered to change operator. But there is only one operator - Andorra Telecom. I said this and they began to send stupid automatic answers about change operator. Then I asked to return my money - and chat was closed - error. I can not connect to chat now. If You not provide service - return money. Now it looks like scam, not serious product.
I’ve used many travel eSIM options over many years and at first I thought this was the cheapest and best option. But then two big negatives occurred that really changed my opinion. The first is that there is no warning that the data remaining is getting low, so if you don’t notice then suddenly your connectivity is turned off and without any connectivity you have no way of extending it - because you need it to get a new sim, yes there’s no top up available. So if you exhaust the data you’re stuck. The second issue is if you switch to the unlimited data option the speed drops from really fast to unusable. With capped data the speed is really impressive - about 150mg download speed, but switch to unlimited and it changes to about 0.03mg. About a 5000 fold speed decrease. I’m a digital nomad who is an iPhone developer and was able to conduct tests with 4 different iPhones over a timespan of several weeks and using multiple plans, I concluded that if you get the fixed data rate plan it’s the best there is in Europe in my experience and great value, except you really must keep an eye on how much data you have left because as mentioned above there’s no warning and if you run out on top of a mountain for example then you’re totally stuck and can’t top nor renew nor get a new sim. But if you switch to the unlimited plan then it’s the worst I’ve ever ever experienced in my entire life, really really dreadfully slow and so unusable that it’s a total waste of money.
