There should never be a single touch of a screen that zooms you out to the whole western hemisphere on your map. I don’t know why that needs to be said… but maybe do something about your touch events in your code. Just can’t get past the fact that every third time I touch a site for info it mis-registers and I have to zoom all the way back in to find my point and try again.
