I’ve been in possession of the car for about 1 month but the app cannot seem to realize that I have it. I am stuck on “Continue purchase” and I am unable to get past this. I have asked the dealer if there is something they can do on their end to fix this to no avail. I am therefore unable to use the app for anything directly related to the car. Really frustrating. Update: The dealer needs to send an email to link the registration to your account. The Acura concierge team was ultimately able to help me with this and it is working now. I don’t know why the dealer was not aware of this but the concierge team was very helpful.

The apps biggest issue is that it does not refresh the data frequently enough. It will be outdated by days. Knowing the battery stats is very important when you own an EV, but it cannot even refresh that. The app needs to be downsized and focused on a minimalist approach. The tabs at the bottom are pretty much all useless. They can combine the manage vehicle tab and the middle vehicle tab into the same page. Even if the app can’t pull the data right away, the request to get data should be queued somewhere, server side or the app side. As soon as the connection is made, it should push send the requested data. I can refresh the data like 20 times over the course of an hour, and even 5 hours later, it still does not show the updated info in the app. There’s good network coverage where the vehicle is. Issue persists whether we are near downtown, rural areas, mall, residential neighborhood, etc. If there is a development or hardware limitation for why this is not working, there needs to be better status notification in the app. Like where is it failing to retrieve the command? Did the request make it to the OTA network provider? Did the car acknowledge the request but failed to send the details? Is it due to low network strength? Should the user try again in XX seconds because the command failed?

By reading everyone’s complaints is obvious this app does not perform as it should. When looking at other EV app’s functionality they do work. Not to mention Tesla’s functionality, It works great. I went with Acura because I thought they are a reputable company. For the amount of money spent by every single person who took the time to write a review to let Acura developers know the app is not working properly, they should have done something by now. When you read their response to every single bad review, seems as a general reply to every single bad review. “Ohh we are sorry you are having a bad experience.” If you know we are having a bad experience, what are you waiting for to fix the issue? That’s why you beta test the app before you release it. I’m so glad I got a lease. After my lease is over, I am looking at Tesla. Not to mention, every time I try to get a charge at the worthless EV go chargers(where I got the charging credits from Acura), they never work. It has been four weeks already, and the chargers do not work. I asked Acura if they can honor the credits on a different charging station, the answer was, no. What good does to me, to have a credit I cannot use. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with Acura.
