My Virgin Media App

Compared with other providers in the market, the app is behind in functionality. The worst thing about it is the loop app sends you through when you try to open it. Every time I try, it displays a pop-up telling me I have to download the latest version and links to the website - not the App Store. And this is with the latest version already installed! The only way to successfully open the app is to open it via the App Store. Crazy. How this isn’t a P1 issue for the dev team I do not know.

I was offered a €15 a month mobile plan to go along with my broadband account. I was already paying €15 a month with Three but it was prepay and said it would be handier to go on bill with Virgin if it’s the same price. They told me to ring them and put the Mobile account onto the Broadband account once the Broadband goes live. So I rang them to tell them this and they tell me that it’s only €15 a month if you get TWO sim’s, if not it’s €20 a month. The sales agent I was on the first time NEVER mentioned this because I obviously would not have gone through with it otherwise. They completely LIED to me and I’m now canceling my broadband with them as well as my mobile account. As I’m sorry, but I do not want to be giving money to a company that lies to it’s customers!

Had 2 long outages today, both lasting several hours. Website guides you to this app to see updates on any outages or service interruptions but according to the app it was telling me my service was running fine with no issue (despite the red light that’s been flashing on my modem all afternoon due to no internet connection). After a long wait on hold to the helpline it was confirmed there was a fault in the area by a staff member, so not all fine like the app indicates.
