The game is great when it works. Unfortunately I have had it lock up on me too many times, costing me games I was set to win. While the game was locked, I did verify I could access the internet and play other games, so I know I had not lost my internet connection as the games error message indicated.

Absolutely ridiculous game. Played it for a couple of weeks, a bit less maybe, you win some you obviously lose sometimes. I got to almost 800K points, never bought and never paid for points. And then, suddenly , I start loosing every single game in a row, mind you for an hour. After seven or eight straight losses I simply lost count. And you understand it’s not me, because let’s be honest, you don’t get to almost 800K (795K actually) without knowing how to play. I guess it thinks that I will start paying for points. Nope, not happening. So it probably lets you get to specific amount of points and then, if you don’t buy anything, you just fall back to zero no matter how good you are. I’ve tried probably about a dozen of different apps, all the same pattern. Probably somehow AI-regulated. Out to garbage bin it goes. For the beginners, who learns how to play, probably good, for seasoned players, who are a bit more ambitious…just go back to old school, find a real partner and get the dice into your own hands.

I’ve been searching for quite some time for a truly good backgammon game. Instead I found it frustrating when playing against the computer that it made such ridiculous moves that it took the fun out of the challenge. I can understand and appreciate beginner errors. That’s to be expected. When you find yourself being unbeaten by a computer, that’s boring! I enjoy this game and playing with so many knowledgeable players from all over the world! I wish somehow you could choose to play at different levels, though. There should be beginners, intermediate, expert and masters that way you could see your progress.
