Beatbot

I have the Beatbot Aqua sense pro and the Iskim ultra. Our pool is an irregular shape with natural looking, hand formed rock sides, waterfalls, Baja shelf and walk in beach. The pair does a surprisingly great job especially considering our pool installer said there wasn’t a cordless robot that could do the job. The only downside is, I wish I waited until the second generation came out or one of the other newer models. When the pro finishes cleaning, I often have to get out the pole hook to retrieve it because I cannot drive it to myself at an easily accessible point. I recently dealt with the service department and was surprised to find them very accommodating in taking care of a problem.

First you really can’t do much with the app. Easier to use the buttons in the Beatbot. Doesn’t clean our tanning deck at all, does most of the beach entry, and doesn’t do well with the ledges. We have a table built into the pool which frequently confounds the Beatbot. It has not got stuck there in only one cleaning session. I usually find it floating there stuck between the wall and table which means it almost never gets to the skimming function. Missed stuff in the corner. App mapping inaccurate but partially understandable since doesn’t go all the way up the beach entry nor onto the tanning deck at all. It should map the table area though since it is always stuck there. Pro model with skimmer mode. Should have got a cheaper corded model for half the price. Oh, frequently misses corners too, but that might be because it gets stuck. Gets most things if we put it every day, just not in one session.

Not sure why people are complaining about the bot in an app review but just to try and debunk their complaints: -One complaining about firmware failure needs to put the bot in charger stand before attempting update -One complaining about not climbing walls probably has it in floor mode lul I come from another $2k robot and so far it performs better. My review of the bot is 5/5 Now the app is what needs work. Some suggestions: -start/stop button. I know it may not work while underwater but in skim mode we should be able to send a stop command. -estimated time to completion using historical values and current time spent cleaning. -see/edit the custom mode while not connected to bot. -next level would be to create a map of the pool and allow for area highlighting like just the deep end
