Relay Copilot

Overall, my four months using Relay have been a mixed experience. The flexibility and convenience are genuinely some of the app’s biggest strengths, particularly being able to choose how much you work and which areas you want to deliver in. The app itself has also improved significantly since I started, with fewer crashes and much more reliable navigation. However, the low pay on pre-booked routes, frequent cancellations and ongoing navigation issues can make the experience frustrating. The biggest issue for me has ultimately been the repeated account suspensions for what Relay classifies as “unsafe deliveries.” In my experience, these flags were sometimes issued despite following the delivery procedures, and I was never given a clear explanation of what had caused them. After several suspensions, my account was eventually permanently off-boarded. For anyone considering Relay, I would say the flexibility is a major advantage, but you should also be aware of the inconsistencies with pay, shift availability and account enforcement. Personally, despite enjoying many aspects of the platform, the uncertainty surrounding suspensions and the permanent loss of my account has ultimately left me with a negative overall experience.

This app is one of the worst app I found here. When I navigating between stops, the app keeps shuts down in the middle of nowhere. Then I have to find a parking place to get this sorted. Even after doing everything, the app keeps shuts down. And they don’t count this issue towards calculating the couriers performance score. Even after multiple queries for this issue, the support team always feeding back the same solution. Not working for me. Also the courier service fee which we receive is not fair and even close to minimum. How you calculate the payments? For a route having 24 stops then the rate will be close to £14? This isn’t not even £1/parcel. Each parcel has to be handed over safely and to avoid complaints we need to make call to customers. After all these, it may take up to 5mins/parcel for these type deliveries. Even very difficult to park my car as these address locates nearly where there is no designated parking bays. Tired of running marathons. If we miss to deliver the parcel on account of these, they will log this as performance issue. Not a friendly driver service from the company.

This app is genuinely one of the most misleading and borderline unethical platforms I’ve come across. You’ll see 5/5 reviews claiming you can “earn the same as a normal job” — that is simply not true in reality. Those reviews either ignore the full picture or are completely out of touch with what drivers actually experience. What they don’t tell you is that your so-called “earnings” don’t factor in fuel, insurance, or most importantly, wear and tear on your vehicle. Once you account for those, your real hourly rate drops significantly — often to something that’s not even close to minimum wage. The route timings are also completely unrealistic. You’re given tight delivery windows that assume perfect traffic conditions, zero delays, and non-stop movement. In the real world, that’s impossible. If anything goes slightly wrong — traffic, parking issues, access problems — you’re instantly behind, stressed, and rushing just to keep up. I have worked for several courier companies, and I am a quick driver but Relay is by far the worst of the bunch. There’s no proper consideration for driver wellbeing, no realistic buffer time, and no transparency about true earnings. It feels like the system is designed to squeeze as much work out of you as possible while making it look profitable on the surface. Overall, this app massively overpromises and underdelivers. If you value your time, your car, and your sanity, avoid.
