My review is this company is garbage. I have had the worst experience possible and I don’t understand how they are still in business. Repairs to my home were literally done with trash bags and duct tape. I’m currently going on a month with no internet (still paying for it though, they won’t give you a break). When I called last time, they told me I was in an outage while other people on my property had no internet problems. The earliest they could get me in was a month from the call. I’m 3 days away from that appointment and I got a message from them to let me know my appointment is actually a month and a half away now. But I have to be home all day and continue paying for the service.
This Internet service is absolutely atrocious. I pay for 200 Mbps and I receive about 12 on average. When I call them, I never speak to an American. I always speak to somebody different country. There’s always tons of background noise. I was told I was paying for 15 Mbps, and since I’m receiving more than 10, I’m technically fine. I just don’t see why I should be paying 55 bucks a month for something that is almost completely unusable. I have called them multiple times trying to get my account updated and they never seem to actually update the account. I’ve told them over and over again, that they have the wrong email because I’m not receiving any information and I cannot log into the app. They tell me that they have updated it, however, that is just not the case. I used to think that spectrum is bad, but now I see I was silly. Spectrum is reliable and I always received around the megabytes per second that was paying for. I wish I could go back to spectrum. It’s a 21st-century, I should be able to have decent Wi-Fi in my house. Decent Wi-Fi consist of Wi-Fi that is at least 100 Mbps.
The change form century link to brightspeed was a long process. Sent an email to reset password on the day I tried it. With absolutely no success. Had to enter my information over and over to no success. Very frustrating. Page would come up blank. No buttons on page would work. Very frustrating. Waited about a week tried again. Same problem. Kept at it entering info over and over. Very frustrating. Finally after numerous attempts it went through. This should of been a much easier process. Very frustrating. Called customer service had to listen to the automated person speaking with no options to help me with my problem. Said wait time was 129 ? What does that even mean. Of course did not get to speak to no one. I’m glad it is over. Again the experience was very FRUSTRATING. Should of been much easier.
