Nestera Bird Cam

Camera stopped working less than 1 year after purchase. It first started with no ability to charge from the solar panel, then it completely died and wall power would not recharge. Reached out to support and they never responded. Stay away from this company, other alternatives out there.

It’s hard to get to and download the videos of birds actually in the bird house / moving. While the camera records all the time if you have a microSD card installed, it’s hard to get to and watch the moments of actual bird movement. One has to click to “messages” to get to the motion triggers detected, then view it and manually click on “record” while watching the scene you want to actually save and download to your phone. It would be much more useful and convenient if a user had the option to set the camera to only record when motion is detected like in other cameras like the Ring camera app.

Overall the camera was easy to setup but some things are confusing. For example after charging the solar panel for 24 hrs it continued to glow red which according to support is ok. We have recently had a big drop in temps in the northeast and the cameras charge level dropped to 90%. This drop has occurred after one week. It’s my hope that the company continues to enhance the app and perhaps provide an 800 support number for customers in the US
