I have been with Bangor Savings for I think 15 or 16 years. I haven’t lived in ME for 14 years. Now that you can deposit checks online it has been easy to live out of state. I loved how personal they treat you. Never a charge on any machine you use around the world! They help with anything you need. I got robbed/scammed for all I had in my account (a bout $1000) well they gave me the money back! My purse got stolen on Maui once. They overnighted a new card for me. I was broke and couldn’t afford the overnight fee and they paid it for me! (I don’t think something they normally do) that’s the personal care you get through BSB. Best bank you could have an account with!

I’ve down loaded the latest version of this app. I’m a rely on the ability to turn you debit card off and on for security. Now with the latest version it is no longer an option. Which is unfortunate and am considering changing banks now. This is very disappointing to take away a feature like this. Is this going to be fixed? Please advise us all who uses the feature regularly. Thanks

I became a Bangor customer over 10 years ago. When I moved to upstate New York, I kept banking with Bangor. Even when I had some issues, I was able to talk to someone at Bangor and get it corrected. 3 years ago, I moved to north east MA. I ended up opening accounts for my 11 y/o twins at Peoples United. Which became M&T. I opened an account with them, with the intention of making transfers to my daughters accounts. For almost 3 years I’ve had numerous problems with M&T. I couldn’t sort my accounts on their mobile app. Their system would go down on a regular basis. There were also numerous times where I had to go into a branch and spend HOURS, trying to correct a problem. My wife thought I was an idiot for continuing to bank with M&T. A few months ago I opened accounts for my daughters at Bangor. I was out of work for a few months. I recently returned & Friday, my first direct deposit is going BACK to Bangor. On the very rare occasion, that I have to go to a branch. I’m going to GLADLY make the drive to Manchester NH. To handle my business there. I’m EXTREMELY satisfied with the service I receive at Bangor. I didn’t realize how GREAT Bangor was, until I banked elsewhere. Bangor Savings Bank is the BEST!!!
