Hitched: Wedding Planner

What can we say? From the minute we visited Cissbury Barns, we loved it, and after meeting Helen and talking through how the day would go, the passion and care the team have for their venue, their service and their guests, was so apparent. Handing over to Michelle as our main point of contact, Their skill and expertise in creating the perfect day for us, put our minds at rest, and the planning up to and on the day, was incredible! The best bit is they do it all so naturally. The Cissbury Team absolutely nailed it, we couldn’t have asked for more. After working in hotels/hospitality for over 20 years, I have high expectations of service and standards and Cissbury Barns exceeded them by a mile! Literally the best day of our lives and I think it’s safe to say from all the messages and feedback from our guests that the venue was the perfect choice… it looked beautiful, the effort in putting all our decorations and extra touches didn’t go un- noticed and Michelle’s organisational skills are second to none! It was The best start to married life and my only regret is it went so quickly 😂❤️I wish we could do it all over again… thank you Michelle, Geoffrey and your Cissbury ‘family’ for making our special day the best it could be, for us, our friends and our family. This site is so full of bugs and lacking basic functionality, you’ll end up doing everything twice. For example, when you select your wedding venue, it will automatically add a location based on the postcode. If you are in London, there are several areas with different postcodes and it will add that to your wedding site in the format “London, West - West London”. This is basically useless as you still need to add the full address anyway, it makes it look bad and you cannot remove this. When your guests start to RSVP, it gives them menu options, but at no point in the set up can you choose this, and it doesn’t even warm you this will happen. I now have various guests thinking they have ordered lamb, fish or whatever, but we will not be offering those as options so I now have to contact everyone and tell them they’ll be getting something else. I also set a question around dietary restrictions in the questionnaire section (as suggested by Hitched), but the results you get only tells you the number of people who selected vegetarian etc. - it doesn’t tell you who actually made the selection. What is the point of that? We signed up to Hitched as we thought it would be an easy way to handle guest list and RSVP, but as I now have to contact everyone directly, it’s a complete waste of time and makes us look disorganised. Avoid.

We have recently just been married at Delamere manor. Dale was with us from the start, from the moment we meet him, we knew he was going to be our wedding planner. We also decided to visit no other venue, as it suited what we wanted perfectly. Dale quickly shared our vision and knew what we wanted and what we would and wouldn’t like. He did not only give us lots of options and introduce us to the perfect suppliers when planning our fairytale wedding, he also shared the excitement and his passion throughout it all. Everyone needs Dale when planning their dream wedding. I’m a real stress head, and Dale took out all the stress, dealing with finding suitable suppliers, planning meetings and managing payments for any booking we made, also keeping to budget, he gave us regular updated schedules of payments and plans of our perfect day. Dale went above and beyond, what we expected. On the day of the wedding , everything ran smoothly and Dale was on the front line, ensuring that everything we had planned was perfect, liaising with suppliers in between coming back and fourth with me, to tell me the progress of prep and just to reassure me. Dale fully pulled off the most amazing romantic, fairytale wedding with all of his suggested suppliers and coworkers, creating our perfect day, the whole day was just breath taking. Dale was complimented by many of our guests, for how attentive and just amazing he is. Which We fully agree with, he is truly an incredibly dedicated, talented and the most amazing person you could have to plan your day. As I’ve said from the start everyone needs Dale in their life, especially when planning their wedding. We are forever grateful. Love Amy, paul and our family xxxxx
