Superb App! Downloaded following a power cut (our house only in a rank) and immediately after entering my details I was sent text updates until the fault was resolved. Repaired sooner than expected too, which was even better. Highly recommend this App…you’re not just left wondering when you’re going to get you’re next hot drink! 😀 Thanks SSE

Recent UPGRADE I had to install to work with latest iOS now give EV charging points near power outage. Great idea BUT the banner announcing this seems Permanent covering the bottom of the map ? Why? Please make it disappear after a while so we can see all the map. Good way of seeing if a power cut effecting your property is known about by SSE and to track their progress at sorting it out. Works on your phone when everything else at home needing electricity has stopped!

The general concept behind this is really good and something that other DNOs should consider. However the information supplied is frequently suspect, often a power cut shows on the map as affecting areas tens of miles apart but when you look at the postcode list there may only be a handful of postcodes affected, all in close proximity to each other. As an example, as I write this the postcode list for a 'Local Network' fault gives 10 postcodes in a small area about 10 miles west of Salisbury but the map shows a huge area extending eastwards into Hampshire as being affected.
