This was the best weather app in Madison—far superior to the ones provided by the other local tv channels, but now it’s practically unusable. I gave up reading a forecast for today’s weather after it was interrupted three times by Google ads that gave no option to skip, nor did they give any indication of how long they would last or how to go back to the content I was trying to read. If this doesn’t change soon, I’m uninstalling.

This used to be a really good app. The forecasts were accurate and the interface was easy to use. Now it won’t run on my iPad Pro (if freezes on the GHC ad that comes up, although it still works on my iPhone) and it embarrasses me when I’m in public when it never used to. I often check the weather when I’m out, in a restaurant, with friends, whatever. What used to be a silent app now BLARES an advertisement when you least expect it. Having dinner in a restaurant, or sitting in a waiting room for a dental appointment one hardly wants to start BLARING an advertisement for something from their iPhone. I never know what the advertisement is for because I quickly exit the app in order to silence it. This is horrible and I will no longer be using what was once was a great app. The least you could have done was give users a chance to buy the app for $5 or $10 bucks (or charge a minimum monthly fee like 50 cents) in order not to have ads. Or give them a heads up you will be having loud ads on your app when the uses least expects them. I’ll probably change my 6:00 pm viewing to a different channel than 27 as well. Fool me once…

I generally love this app... Except HEY DEVELOPERS! if you tell me there is a tornado or severe weather WARNING, how about NOT first making me watch an ad??? I really want to first READ the warning and find out what is bearing down on me. I'm thinking. "How can I prevent injury or death" not "Maybe I need different health coverage?." SURELY your app knows if I am in a severe weather zone. Could you maybe make THAT the priority? I'm in a severe thunderstorm warning, and I actually DO have GHC... should I mychart this to Member Services? Or should I take shelter? So hard to decide!
