The new software is excellent and easy to use. I can read the magazine easily on my iPad.
So, I subscribed for the digital edition this summer because the current world situation has meant that newsstand issues aren’t arriving here in the US, and was successfully able to download a few missed issues and the current one. However the app will frequently forget I already downloaded them so I have to go and log in again to restore them. This in itself takes forever, this is like dial up speed. Now, it seems to have forgotten I have a subscription and my password, and I can’t log in at all-and of course my purchases have all disappeared as well. Password reset does nothing-the email takes ages to arrive and does not work when it does. In fact I’m waiting for another one now-it’s been half an hour. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been reading this magazine since the late 80s. I’d hate to have to stop because of this terrible app.
Just like others, trying to connect to their server to download new issues, re-read old issues or restoring purchases is a three day ordeal. Requested password changes but linked emails fail or don’t appear for days. Nothing seems to work. Just got nicked for $40 for an annual subscription renewal and can’t download the bloody magazines. Have been a subscriber for 3 years but this has become ridiculous. Somebody at Pixelmags needs to come up with a fix NOW!
