I’ve been trying to use the Repeat Timer pro paid for version over and over many times for the past few years. It continues to fail to meet my expectations. I’m sorry. It’s a well built app, but the user experience has some serious issues. 1) if you put the phone in your pocket while you’re using it, it’s constantly shutting off the timer and changing it switching it between different modes and timers You can’t run with this thing. 2) the timer clicks and notification noises are not very loud, so if you try to listen to music at the same time, your music just drowns out the timer clicks and beeps and doesn’t work. 3) Shutting off the screen to prevent miss operation doesn’t solve because none of the chimes sound and nothing sounds loud enough. It’s not hands-free operation. What I need is hands-free operation something where I can tell it what I wanna do what interval interval for intensity interval and for rest interval, and then be able to put it in my pocket and go run. It just doesn’t let you do that.
It’s easy to use and I haven’t run into any bugs. I use it to remind me to get up from my desk every 20 minutes. I also use it to hold a stretch for 1 minute with an 8 second interval to allow me to reposition for the next stretch. october 2021 i want to set it to cycle through 20 minutes, then 8 minutes then 2 minutes but i can’t figure out how to set 3 timers in a row. i now work in an office where i use earbuds for music most of the day and i miss a lot of the alerts somehow, and i don’t want to keep the screen open for this app all day, so i lose track of my stand/sit/walk cycles. *shrug* it’s still good enough for me that i keep on using it.
Like someone said, perfect "nagging device". A timer to remind me to look away from computer, a timer to let me know another hour has passed–I lose track of time easily when focused. I want to see widgets, ability to record custom alert sounds, ability to read longer names of timers, perhaps a sub-name text field for notes as to the rules/purposes of the timer. Great UI & very easy to use. Tested free version once before knowing it was worth the price, especially since this will probably be my most used app. Great job, but don't stop, I'll easily shell out for additional features similar to the ones I mentioned.
