Living in a small, predominantly conservative town, finding The Pink Press felt like finally exhaling. When the local news doesn’t reflect your life, your community, or your existence — this app does. The Pink Press fills a gap that mainstream media has ignored for far too long. It covers the stories, legislation, culture, and community moments that actually matter to LGBTQ+ people, without having to piece it together from a dozen different sources. Whether it’s political updates that directly affect our rights or feel-good stories celebrating queer joy, this app delivers it all in one place. As a lesbian in a town where representation is nearly nonexistent, having a news source that sees me — and reports for me — is genuinely meaningful. It’s not just an app. It’s a reminder that our community is large, vibrant, and worthy of coverage. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ever felt invisible in their local news feed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I won’t let my trans son have this on his phone. Yes, there is SO MUCH negative action against LGBTQ+ kids and adults, athletes, authors, artists, everyone. And these things are important if we are going to stand up and help. But there are many good stories out there too. And those NEED to be just as important. Otherwise all the support in the world isn’t going to help if all anyone reads about is the negative. Kids are going to give up if it seems hopeless. I get on here periodically to see what’s going on in the wider world but every time I shut it down after scrolling through a few headlines. I don’t need the negativity adding to my son’s depression and anxiety
Nice app. So far it has worked perfectly for me. No bugs. Lots to read. I could see myself browsing this all afternoon! There’s little banner ads, but so far they’re pretty unobtrusive. My only recommendation is I wish there was a way to filter articles based on location. There’s a lot of UK and international stories, which is interesting, but sometimes I just want to see US-specific news.
