Love this app although it hasn’t been updated in a long time. The developer made another app called AutoSampler which was phenomenal and now gone from the app store. Please Please Please bring it back.

I've loved this camera app for a long time but the last two (or so) versions can't keep from crashing on recent and current iOS (10.0.2, iPhone 5). Update: using ClassicToy on my iPhone 7. Same crashing. Now my favorite iPhone camera only in my memory. If it would be updated to something stable I'd start using it again in a heartbeat.

That doesn't mean this application isn't anything close to its own gem. It's a fun and simple way to add common and basic filters to the photographs that your about to take instead of the ones you've already taken. That's the only close comparison it deserves next to hipstamatic. Because although this app comes with different lenses and films....the lenses are random and do not correspond to specific films while the films aren't unique. The filters shown here are ones I've definitely seen in other common apps that allow you to tweak your photos extensively. Although some of their filters are fairly pretty, after light for example, includes them and more. What I do appreciate about this app is the design. It's clean, easily understood and it's gallery view is a wonderful detail I can't ignore. I've only given the application 3 stars because it could use some features to make it succeed. Toy camera is an accurate name.
