Guitar Tuner

For those nights when regular turning is just a wee high, this comes in especially handy for dropping it to the “Dm 7 sus 4” of a full tone down expeditiously. Even laryngitis has a tough time beating that God’s blessings, John. (it also encourages alternate tunings; and, for people like me to delve into that, I need encouragement.

I have been using this tuner for quite some time, and I have had no complaints whatsoever up until the latest update. The only issue, be it menial regarding functionality, is that the app can no longer be viewed in landscape screen mode. My tablet is always in landscape orientation, so this is a bit cumbersome having to reorient the tablet, physically, onto portrait mode, otherwise I have to use the app sideways, which is not optimal and rather annoying. But, this is the only pitfall with the new update, so I will deal with the inconvenience. Cheers

I usually don’t write reviews but I can’t pass on this. Some people have minor issues with the app, like with the ads and whatnot, but coming from someone who’s owned this app for years now, I have to say I use it a lot. Even though I play guitar just about everyday, I’m horrible when it comes to owning and keeping tuners. This app has been my go to whenever I’ve had to tune when I’m practicing or getting ready to jam. It has all the standard tunings, such as standard (duh), half step, and drop D, but it even includes some other tunings that are not so common, such as double drop D, new standard, and open A minor. This app has helped me not just keep my guitar in tune, but open up new and interesting tunings to use in my playing, especially once I got use to playing in standard. I would recommend anyone who wants a simple yet useful tuning app to look no further than this one.
