The app itself works reasonably well. It can interact with Alexa and Google Home and you can setup your home with different rooms. However, there are some issues with the light switches/dimmers themselves. To start off , they are very flaky in how they connect to WiFi. There is no bridge device connected to the network, so every device is using the standalone 2.4 ghz antenna built in. That’s where the issues start… I was able to connect MOST switches and dimmers to the app have them show. Some devices were never able to connect, no matter how many times I tried the process. So they are essentially useless out of the box. The other issue is firmware updates. They constantly fail , even if the device is very close to the router and able to interact with. Doesn’t make any sense. The other issue is just failing switches. About 20% of the switches just failed. Stopped working. One of them was connected to my garbage disposal. That was very infuriating and I just replaced it with a dumb switch. I know these are a good cost saving alternative for the more expensive brands out there - but it’s not worth going with a brand that only partially works.

The app tells me to finish setting up my account, then when I enter my email address, after deciphering the bizarre prompt: “Please enter your account”, it tells me I already have an account. And that’s it, no ability to just log in. It also completely lost my hardware, which is fine, it’s easy enough to add back, once you figure out that ELEGRP is the name of the app that controls this.
