Works great at controlling my Anker desktop charger (Prime USB-C charging station). However everything has to be done in the app, and I canโt make common things more accessible via HomeKit, widgets, or even Apple Shortcuts. Specifically, I have two USB-A devices plugged in (WiFi HDMI adapters for my extra monitors) that I need to be able to power on and off, because while they have power they emit the โconnect instructions screensโ which in turn keeps my high-power-consumption monitors from going to sleep. In the app, this involves starting the app, selecting my device, scrolling down to the port power controls, swiping over to the usb-a ports, pressing the power button, then pressing a confirmation button to actually turn it off. It would be ideal if these could be exposed as โplugsโ in HomeKit, but barring that the ability to set up a dashboard widget to toggle it, or a Shortcut, would make my life much easier!
UPDATE: updated to 3.4.2 and now my Bluetooth keeps going offline too. I have to reset the button on the unit before I can use the app. This is not so easy for me as the display is not so easily accessed in my setup (this why I need the Bluetooth). Sometimes it works and sometimes it requires a reset. No improved optimisation. โโ-REVIEW OF APP, NOT UNIT. I donโt understand why this app has good reviews? It doesnโt do anything useful, other than a timer to delay a section shutoff. I cannot delay to start a power section? It does not save any history data for usage, temperature, battery cycles, or anything. The usage graphs are useless as they only show a few seconds. There have been no feature updates in a year, yet the units are still selling new. Why is this app so bad? These features are not difficult to program into apps. I expected more from a company like Anker. I like my 767/F2000, with the only glitch so far being the USB-A ports going offline requiring to physically replug them in. Thus I donโt use them. My brand loyalty is wavering as customer experience seems to not be important. This app is very disappointing!
I have the F3800 and C1000, and like the app for the monitoring. My problem with the app is, it logs me out of my account every week or two. Now I work in IT, I get security. My password is written down, but for some reason Anker thinks itโs incorrect (three times now). So now I have to press โforgot passwordโ every time it logs me out. Driving me NUTS! The other is a feature request, but the reason this is another star loss is that I tried requesting the feature on the Anker website and gave feedback. But the fully automated bots answering support think every message is a trouble call, not a request or idea. So I am not loving โsupportโ and dread I may need it and not get a person some day. So I will leave my request here. Request is: LFP batteries donโt love to be stored for a while at 100%, that is a fact. I know itโs not going to break it, but why canโt we set a charge limit of 50%, or 80%? That way I donโt have to watch the charge status closely to get it to 50% for long storage, or 80% for โI donโt need it yet, but I could soonโ. My F3800 is for emergency power, so it gets stored most of itโs life. When I go past 80% accidentally, now I have to connect the TV or Fridge to get it down where I want it. Should be easy-ish to add and could extend our investment.
