Akiflow has become an essential part of my stack. The AI features aren’t a gimmick and genuinely improve how I manage my workload.
The integrations are top-tier. I’m not aware of an alternative that comes close to from an integration standpoint at the time I’m leaving this review.
There are a few features would take this from great to irreplaceable:
1) Project archiving: Right now, old projects clutter the view and AI automatically assigns tasks to these projects. At my task volume, the project feature isn’t usable unfortunately. If we could sync projects from our task management platform, or even pull in a project field to be used in filtering, that would be ideal. If we could at least archive projects, the AI task assignment would become useful at least.
2) Deeper Notion integration: Being able to sync related Notion projects—especially for sorting/filtering tasks—would add tremendous value. Bonus points if I could also create pages directly within my Notion task database from Aki.
3) Browser-based notifications: I run the app in my browser so I can leverage time tracking chrome plugins. It would be great to get notifications without having to keep the desktop app open.
Overall, this is one of the few productivity tools I genuinely enjoy using every day. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

About a year ago I accidentally signed up for one of their app subscriptions because I really liked their app at the time. I stopped using the app and I only realized until yesterday that I had signed up for the subscription. I was a little bit alarmed by the amount so I contacted customer service and they very kindly refunded me the amount. I was very impressed by their communication and attention to me as a customer.
Although I stopped using this app, it’s layout and drag and drop to do list feature is SUPER useful. I haven’t been able to get it to work on iPad which was why I stopped using it but I think I may have made a mistake of some kind. I would highly recommend this app though and I think that they have a great team.

I cannot keep using this app because it is absolutely too buggy. Lately I’ve been experiencing a tremendous number of technical issues with both the web app and the mobile app. On the web app, it’s not showing changes i make Akiflow in my Google calendar and that is significant because I am unable to edit calendar events on my phone in the Akiflow app. It’s unresponsive to the touch.
I wanted to love this app because it has all of the features I’m looking for: it allows me to build my time blocking into my Google Calendar and check things off right in the calendar. I love how it adds an emoji check mark into the corresponding google calendar event once you complete a task (at least it is supposed to). It also has a web browser version so I don’t have to download an app to my work computer.
Customer service has been responsive to my concerns (there’s a significant time difference between the team and the US so it’s been slow), but they have been unable to resolve the problem and I cannot justify paying so much money per month for an app that simply doesn’t work. I feel like I’m mourning because this is the first app that I found that I really loved, but I cannot allow it to derail me in the way that the technical issues do.
I suspect they’re working on some major AI update and it’s breaking the entire app, but it doesn’t even matter. Sad.
