Reviews: What People Think About Reflect Notes

Rating: 5/5
I’ll preface by saying I have no affiliation with Reflect, just an avid user and believer. I’ve been using Reflect for close to a year now after deciding to leave Evernote after years (for many frustrating reasons I won’t get into), then trying out a couple other big names in note taking/2nd brain that I didn’t love. This app is worth every penny I have paid for it and more. A 2nd brain integrated with my work and personal calendar that can transcribe meeting notes and personal journaling and task tracking integration with AI functionality… it’s the best app experience I’ve ever had and has become not just something I use but an important part of how I move through my day and live my life.

I’ve been using Reflect for over six months now and I love it. I tried it because of the AI features, very hesitant about their journal approach, but I was surprised at how natural it felt to adopt to it. I was also surprised when they introduced tasks and it turns out that it is so easy and comfortable to be able to create a task right there are you are writing a note. Now I hope the Reflect team expands on the tasks functionality, like allowing recurrent tasks and notifications. On the con side, I wish that they added some color to our notes. I think Bear has found the right balance of a beautiful design that doesn’t overcomplicate things and it’s be cool if Reflect stole a trick or two from them.

After +10 years using Evernote I have been looking for a more evolved notes app. To me that means fast/easy back links, flexible AI tools, and better calendar sync. I started using the desktop version of Reflect about 4 months ago and love it so I was glad to see the mobile app released. Reflect also has basic but useful task management features and bonus, can transcribe live meetings. So far I’ve also been impressed with the frequency of updates, support content they post on YT, and their communication. For context, I also tried a bunch of other tools and focused mostly on Mem and Obsidian. But Mem removed some key tasks functions, calendar sync didn’t work, and no transcription option was available, and Obsidian was just too much work assemble all the same functionality Reflect offers out of the box. Overall, I’ve been super happy with Reflect!
