Read Thai

This app lays out learning Thai script into easy to digest chapters. The flashcards helped me memorize consonants in under a week and i was (slowly) sounding out sentences in under a month. Fantastic app! Additionally, flashcards started malfunctioning after an iOS update and the dev posted a fix for them within a day. A true gem of software in an age when overall software quality has been suffering. I would easily pay for this high quality, continually supported app!

There aren’t very many resources out there for learning Thai, especially for reading it. Most apps or websites leave out important bits, but this one goes into SO much depth and helped me understand very clearly what I had been stuck on for a while. The best part is that it’s FREE, though I wouldn’t even mind paying for it since it’s truly been very useful for me. Thai is much more involved when it comes to reading vs other languages like Japanese or Spanish, but this just breaks it down beautifully. Thank you very much !!

I have been working in Thailand for over seven years. However, I never took the time to learn how to read Thai. Now that I have a little time to study, I downloaded a bunch of free apps to try them out. Most free apps, and even some of the ones you buy, are not very helpful, or not even accurate. But I was thoroughly impressed with this one. It does a beautiful job of describing the limitations that english phonetics pose for accurately defining the Thai sounds, and makes thorough work of making sure you understand what makes Thai reading unique.
