Firstly my team is terrible, and you can’t get any better players, second why are the players so dense, like I have seen shortstops throw it to right field because they didn’t know what to do. It has gotten so bad I have just walked away instead of watching my team play like Rec ball nobodies, the only reason I still play is to upgrade my stadium. I bet after my arena is fully upgraded to the max I will still have a garbage team. For example of my team being so bad, I have had plays were the ball is hit to the pitcher and he throws it two miles away from first and it’s turned into a inside the park home run. An example for the stupidity of the players they would just stand there in the outfield when the ball is hit to them and not move an inch and even when the ball hits the floor still frozen with there glove up to the sky, only when the runner is rounding third do they think “oh yeah I’m playing baseball” and go and retrieve the ball only to make a terrible throw to…first base🤦♂️. Another example would be how when there’s a grounder the first thing they do is throw it to the pitcher, also my shortstop is behind third base, not in a covering position, but quite literally standing behind the third baseman, and it’s not only shortstop it’s also second base too, but to first and not third, so I have my entire middle of the infield wide open and when it sneaks throw to center field the center fielder just walks away from the ball and goes to cover second base. So that’s how bad some of the game mechanics are in this game, please fix them.
I was optimistic about this game but that is disappearing. They aren’t even making any updates to make it better anymore. There’s so many issues with the games. Many people have already expressed how stupid the players are. Like how the ball has to be thrown to the pitcher before trying to throw someone out. Any ground ball hit, the infield has to throw it to the pitcher instead of first base. If the pitcher gets it, he has to run to the pitcher’s mound before throwing to first. Essentially, every single ground ball is a single. Many times when I get a single, while the ball is getting thrown in from the outfield, they throw it right to second base and I get thrown out. It’s just stupid how my players do the wrong thing 9 times out of 10. Another issue, if I get the third out before the runner from third crosses home, it still counts as a run. It’s not even like it’s close. He won’t even be halfway home when the final out is made and yet he keeps running and scores. That’s not how baseball works. Then there’s the point where I won’t be able to upgrade anything because it goes from being millions of coins to hundreds of billions and the amount I can upgrade doesn’t help me get into the billions anytime soon. It takes me many, many days to make any kind of upgrade because of how unbalanced the structure is. After a month or so of playing, I’ve just about had it. Most people won’t stay interested this long before deleting. They definitely won’t be keeping many people for very long.
This game is tons of fun to start with. The team dynamic where you can level the players up and upgrade your stadium is exactly what I love out of a tycoon game. Along with the expected features of a tycoon game, this app goes above and beyond by actually simulating a baseball game inside the tycoon experience with unique actions every hit depending on player levels. My only complaint with the app (probably cuz I’m a baseball player myself so I’m too picky) is a lot of the runners on my team don’t know when to stop running. There are times they beat out a nice ball to 1st base, but if the ball dribbles a centimeter over the foul line they try to swipe second base only to meet a dismal end. Same with balls that dribble right in front or behind second base. This really being my only complaint, albeit a frustrating one, displays why this game is so highly rated, and with a quick fix in the game play mechanics this game as said in other reviews, could be a top game in the App Store.
