Astonishing Baseball Manager

After getting bored with fantasy baseball, I searched for apps to play. I became addicted to Tap Sports MLB and then the idiot company sold out to another idiot company which destroyed the game within a year of purchase. Then I found Astonishing. DO NOT HESITATE TO D/L THIS GAME! The game is truly amazing! You’re the GM, Coach, etc and assemble your team. You can play multiple teams or “saves”. The best part? IT IS NOT PAY TO PLAY! After months of playing AND winning, I made my first store purchase yesterday, not because I needed to, but because I WANTED to. The developers don’t make it impossible to win and to enjoy yourself, which is extremely rare with these apps. PLUS, when was the last time you ever interacted DIRECTLY with the developers? There is easy access to ask questions and get answers straight from the team! It’s basically a genius design! Also, it can be played offline but if you want a daily bonus (freebie after 10 days), you’ll need a Wifi connection for maybe a couple of minutes. If you love baseball management games, THIS IS IT!

Downloaded this game in the back seat on a 7 hour card ride and it was exactly what I was looking for. A game to make the time go by quickly. Except I can’t stop playing it. So many different exciting game modes and features, team building is great, game simulations make sense and has consistency. Not too easy, not too hard, the game has the perfect balance of winning sometimes but not every time. Sometimes I get so caught up in this game when I’m home that I gotta go through and make sure I’m not forgetting about anything in my real life… Thank you to the creators. You guys did an awesome job with this game!

I have been playing this game consistently for the past couple of years and I love it, however I think that there could be a few improvements to make it better. The contract negotiations don’t make sense, a player that was a one time all star will always want 20 million despite performing badly for three years consistently. Why should I pay a poor performer that much money. The legends system is also something that could use work, you get a legend for two years for free that’s cool. You lose me with how they are perceived by other teams, no matter what their performance or contract is if you try and trade them the other teams will say it’s a bad contract. If this player is a legendary as they are made out to be then shouldn’t teams be clamoring to get them on their team. The trade system is pretty good until you try and trade for multiple players, teams overvalue two players that are mediocre compared to an all star. If I can get an all star on my team for two decent guys I’m taking that trade. All stars and legend as well don’t seem to have huge trade value as well which seems weird. Maybe giving a trade worth meter for players could solve this. I feel that the amount of money you get for making the playoffs and winning the baseball cup is not enough considering that the opponents money spending is much higher if you look. Your opponents can spend what seems to be around 225 million a season while your stuck at 165, giving a little bit more for winning the cup and making the playoffs could make the difference. This would also give you the chance to get more free agents or keep those players that you previously couldn’t due to cap concerns. I hope that this review could help make the game even better than it currently is, still love what your doing here though.
