I love the community that is on Lucky Sweater! Thanks to this app and the community of people who are on it, I’ve refreshed my closet on a very very limited budget, and I even joined a no buy/low buy challenge that has saved my wallet (and my savings) big time. There are different types of communities on here and more are launching so you can trade not only slow fashion brands but handmade/me-made items and materials, too. Trading across the groups is very fun, and it increases the ability for people to acquire slow fashion items that they may otherwise not have the means to access (it has certainly been true for me.) The founders also respond directly to questions and comments regularly, and it really shows that they care about what they are building.

This is not just a slow fashion trading app—it’s a community of thoughtful, diverse, inclusive people making connections and sharing advice about how we treat and think about our closets (and the planet). Don’t have a lot of slow fashion pieces or have no idea what slow fashion even is? This space is still for you! See “gifting” as a category! And look through the discussion threads on how to get started on keeping a more sustainable closet.
The amazing women behind LS actively listen to community feedback, which means the space/app just gets better and better all the time. I cannot wait to see what trading space LS branches out to next.

Lucky Sweater was started by two women in tech who are passionate about trading, thrifting and all aspects of creating a sustainable, ethical wardrobe. The app makes trading so easy and Lucky Sweater is always listening to the community and adding features and fixes to improve and already excellent experience.
Lucky Sweater is a great place to learn about slow fashion brands and build your wardrobe. Join in and see how trading > shopping. But trading is just one aspect. There are amazing discussion threads, too. Hope to see you in the app soon!

We’re a secondhand community platform for swapping out items you don't use anymore for new faves, for free. Just pay for shipping to swap your item.Trade your way to a closet that shifts with your identity, size, and style.
List items in your closet to trade, sell, or gift, share looks for style inspiration and outfit tracking, and have fun getting dressed alongside our growing community of secondhand style enthusiasts.
How it works:
- Join our community groups: Slow Fashion, Curated Thrift, Me Made, Vintage, Outdoor Gear, Kids Slow Fashion, and Gender Swap.
- Help others know what you're looking for by adding your "in search of"s (ISOs) to your profile, including your unicorn ISO.
- List items in your closet to trade, sell, or gift to other members of the community.
- Every Tuesday there’s a new Swap Drop, with more chances to find your dream ISO or fill a crucial closet gap
- Save or Super Save the items in circulation that you love.
- Start trading when people save items in your closet — that’s a Save Match!
- Get ready to send your traded item to its new life with easy in-app shipping. We encourage reusing packing materials, and adding a thank you note when life allows.
- Sustainers get access to all community groups, 5 Super Saves per week, 3-hour early access to the Weekly Swap Drop, item protection on all trades shipped in-app, and more perks brewing!
