I signed up and was able to sell tickets for three games fairly quickly. I received emails and texts when someone had purchased the tickets, which let me know to do the ticket transfer. I had one question that I sent to the support email, and I received a quick and helpful response. I really hope this takes off as a student ticket marketplace solution because there are so many hurdles and a high degree of risk with other options, and this team seems to have figured out how to make it straightforward for the student ticket niche.

This app does nothing besides connect buyers and sellers. You still have to do all the work and they take huge fees from buyers. They say they don’t take fees from sellers, but when you have to price in a fee (my last ticket had a $15 fee on a $50 ticket) on the list price, the buyer and seller lose. Maybe they handle transactions, but so would venmo or paypal without a huge fee. They claim buyer/seller protection, but I have dealt with more issues transferring through the app than I ever did in my schools group chats. Plus, they require way more user data. I have still had several fraudulent buyer situations. I’ve had non-students try to buy and then submit a complaint against me when they can’t accept. Student Seats had no prevention for this besides saying they shouldn’t try to buy. There is something going on where tickets will be ‘bought’ and then immediately canceled numerous times. I can’t figure out why, but I find it suspicious. The app’s interface is glitchy and doesn’t display correctly. There’s no communication between buyers and sellers on the app, leading to overly complicated trouble-shooting. Customer service is responsive over email, but it’s ridiculous how many times I’ve had to go to customer service to test this.

Student seats has been the easiest way to buy and sell student tickets without the worry of being scammed. It’s super easy to navigate and use, and you don’t even have to communicate with the person you’re buying from or selling to. Quick, simple, and trusted!!
