The app needs a stronger sensor. Sometimes the bottle doesn’t light up after a sip and I have to stare at the app to make sure my sip was recorded. Other times it doesn’t update at all, and then 20 mins to hours later the data bum rushes my history. Sometimes it reflects I’ve drank more than the bottle physically can hold. It would be better if the app shows a real time level of how much water is in it at the time of filling. Another issue is the sensor definitely struggles keeping up within a car. For rideshare drivers like me all the stop and go is really confusing on the sensor so I won’t deduct points for that because of my business but I hate babysitting the sensor to make sure it updates. Lastly I need to be able to change the manual Oz’s selections. Sometimes I need to select 10oz more than I need to select 12oz or 8oz. I NEVER select 23oz or 26oz, when I’m driving I shouldn’t have to type that in because the developers didn’t think to allow us to edit our frequent choices. Please change this! Other than that, having this bottle makes drinking water and keeping up with my daily hydration fun for me. I’m optimizing my prenatal health and my wife and I are trying for children soon and this is one of the many tools supporting my reproductive health journey.

The LARQ bottle pairs really well with the app, it is easy to connect and seems to automatically prompt you to it. There are only a few tabs in the app one that lets you fill in personal account information and one that shows your charts and graph of your daily water intake. You can do a manual clean with the app button but you would honestly be able to just do it on the LARQ bottle itself with the logo button on top. As for how accurate the app shows the intake varies. I feel like the bottle needs a little of time to calibrate how much water was just drank especially if you chugged down a big amount. The bottle is nice but it feels a little too expensive to me. As a user who mainly has it sitting at home I have not found the “worth the money aspect” yet. I believe once I take this bottle along with me traveling it will start to gain its value of usage. Over all I am satisfied with the function, tech and idea but I cannot justify the price just yet. I will update with my thoughts as I keep this bottle longer.

Overall the app doesn’t do that much. I appreciate the features it has though. I would absolutely love an Apple Watch companion app and accompanying watch complication to see how much of my water intake goal I am completing throughout the day. I work in a place where I can’t have a water bottle on my person and it would be convenient to see that information on my watch instead of just on the bottle or looking at the app. The other thing I’d like to see is a find my Larq feature or a left behind feature similar to an AirTag. It would be a shame to lose the bottle and it having Bluetooth, I feel like that is possible. Might drain the battery though. The app doesn’t seem to stay connected to the bottle very well, or it is aggressive with power saving. Either way pressing the button on the bottle seems to reconnect it by waking it up so that works I guess. Makes the tracking less real time though in my experience. Overall I love the bottle and it is an incredible product, has fantastic design, and a true purpose. I hope to see it improve over time.
