I like using Slack for work, and the desktop app is the best! Slack for Intune, however, isn’t very user friendly when it comes to managing notifications and notification badges. Several issues trying to clear badges that don’t clear, messages are pushed to my phone when I’ve had it marked to not notify me on mobile, and it’s just not as easy to navigate on mobile as it is on desktop.
I’m forced to use this by my company, but it’s awful. It’s a poorly executed application with absolutely no useful notification settings. I thought it couldn’t be worse than MS Teams, but unfortunately I’ve learned otherwise. This app keeps asking for a review even after I’ve given it one. I can’t emphasize enough how unwanted this behavior is.
We began using Slack about a month ago and we were told of its great collaboration tools and how easy it is to communicate with team members and other coworkers. I find Slack to be not intuitive at all, very difficult to collaborate effectively without jumping through all kinds of hoops to set things up in a logical, comprehensive way. You cannot share files easily depending on where you are, working on projects with others is way more difficult in Slack than just using SharePoint tools which aren’t really that great. Just not impressed at all.
