I find myself doing manual inputs most of the time because the app has difficulty reading the screen of my device. OCR shouldn’t be this difficult in 2026. App functionality aside, it’s kinda scummy that the box shows a link to an app and a phone tapping the device. I assumed the device would integrate with the app via NFC, but I guess that’s on me for not doing more research.

This app would be great if it actually worked. It refuses to connect to Bluetooth to transfer the data. Only way I can get it to work is if I delete the device from the app and reset it back up from scratch each and every time I want to connect the the app to have it record my readings. I shouldn’t have to do this every single time. Initial setup should be the only time. I’ll be switching to a different brand once I have the extra money to buy a new device. No point in using a device/app that internally raises my blood pressure because it doesn’t want to work 9 out of 10 times.

I like the app overall, but a couple improvements could be made. The ability to customize your favorites on the Home Screen, for example, like you can in Apple Health. Which is the other improvement that could be made - the transfer to Apple Health routinely and silently fails on my iPhone 12 Pro. The fix, now that I’ve done it a hundred times, is to turn off Apple Health in the Beurer HealthManager options, and select “No, delete” when prompted. Then turn it back on, and it will sync properly. I believe it is not accounting for the data it already synced, and fails when attempting to sync data that Apple Health already has, but that is just my suspicion based on its behavior and my workaround.
