For those of you who have an indoor rower that does the basics only, but does not have any way of tracking your SPM, then this is the app for you! This is a cadence-based stroke tracker that allows you to manage your speed. The metronome sound allows you to easily keep pace, and comes through loud and clear even with my iTunes Radio going in the background. It is also fairly accurate on the end calorie count I feel, and more of a realistic number. I highly recommend this for those who want to up their game and save money buying one of those fancier iFIT enabled machines. Great job whomever created this app, it’s a game changer for my workouts!

It’s really hard to find a basic rowing app. Most of them are for certain machines. This one you can use with any machine. It helps you keep pace. If you care about distance then you need one of those fancy machines and apps. But if you just love rowing and want a basic app to keep pace and give you different levels of workouts to try, then this is a great app! It’s been updated recently to include tips and more workouts. Love it even more now!

This app helps you to improve your stroke rate. The colored metronome is awesome. The rest is pretty much useless for me. It does not connect to the C2 logbook, so I have to enter the workouts manually. That’s not a big deal, but even with keeping the rate steady it is not accurate. If you get off your split time because you push harder then the timer on your rower gets ahead. I’m a regularly ahead by 20 seconds although I keep my pace with the metronome. If you have a rower that doesn’t count the meters/stroke/calories for you, then that’s your app. It’s not for me. I will use it for steady rows to improve my rates, but it is useless to me for intervals due to it not being able to sync with my machine. So, not for me, but maybe for someone else.
