I have played for three careers now, and it’s easy to understand, good pop-ups for info, and you have plenty of training options. You have to watch your money but get commercial promotions as you advance. The trouble is that you start off as a Flyweight and have to fight through 100 OR MORE ranks just to get to the champion. There’s no bonus money for fighting those fights, only medals which you use for special moves. You get 1-2 medals per championship fight, but the store sells extra medals for $1 million each. In other words, the best special moves are out of reach. When you defeat the champ, you start all the way at the bottom of the next weight. You also can only fight up to 5 spots ahead of you. Just do the math and you’ll see that you won’t be able to make it to large purses in your career. You have to buy bling items to gain advertising clout. Makes sense, but buying a $65k car gives you the same clout as buying a $5k dog! Why??? You also don’t get rewarded for boxing combos, so you just throw a punch once it is ready. No matter your evade percentages, your boxer will miss A LOT more than your opponent. Also, you will only get up about 20% of the time after being knocked down, no matter what your stats say. I liked it enough that I purchased the full game. The game mechanics and environment are great! I think the advancement of a fighter and fight mechanics needs work, though.
It’s a good game it has everything to it for as far as boxing goes but I feel like it should have like more like game to it like paparazzi like asking questions to it or having a family it can’t just be about boxing their should be more to it. What I’m trying to say is that the boxing is spot on I just feel like their should be more into the game other than boxing like politics or family things or paparazzi stuff like that.
So let me start off by saying that this game was a great idea! I love how you get to see things in the eyes of a boxer who’s career is growing. But here is something that I think could help improve the game. Leveling up on the game is kind of challenging when you need shards(gems that help you gain more energy, helps you level up on your different punches, and helps you gain more defense) and the matches only give you a couple of shards out of the three different color shards they have. For example there is a purple shard, one match may only offer two purple shards and that’s all. Mind you, you need to use a good amount of shards to upgrade to another level. Honestly all of the good stuff comes after level 10. You get to unlock more staff and better staff which will bring in more money or shards.
