Tumble

Easily the worst app on my phone. It’s been a horrible experience having tumble in our apartment building. The machines don’t clean clothes well even when they do work. The front load machines collect filth in between the door and the barrel where the clothes go and there is no maintenance performed to clean them. It’s just awful. Out of 18 machines in the building only 2-3 are operational and you have to travel up and down to different floors to hopefully find one. Also, I’m not sure if there are any human beings behind this company as your can’t speak to anyone on the phone and the chat only has bots answering. I can’t tell you how much laundry detergent etc we have WASTED thinking the machine would work only to get an error message at the last minute that it was out of order/offline. Is this the future? Robot machines that do not work, robot customer “service” that doesn’t care nor empathize. Pathetic

The concept is nice and when it works it is also nice but these machines never work. Our apartment switched to Tumble over a year ago and since then, I have probably had $20 worth of money stolen. You scan the barcode to start a machine, but it doesn’t actually allow you to press start. I’ve messaged them using the chat feature where they say I will get refunded, but I never have. I hate this app. I wish there was the old fashioned quarters option to do laundry. (Also the machines are always broken, it says a machine is being used when it’s not). The list goes on and on.

TL; DR: Time wasting and the customer service do not take any responsibility for their broken machines. Also crazy bad attitude. Our apartment complex switched to Tumble several months ago. When the team was here, they said it would be the best and smartest machines we have ever used. Such a joke when looking at it now. Our floor has at least 70 residents, and we only have 1 available machines wile other 3 machines are broken. Not only that, they don’t want to put a sign of “out of order” but want us to check on the app before doing laundry, which says they are “available” but actually not! I have notified them 3 times of putting a sign and they ignored all of them. I finally cannot hold it and asked for the number for the manager, and I was told that they cannot do it. Instead, they connected me with their staff of support team (a guy called Scott), and the attitude is absolutely crazy wild. He first said “so you are asking for a refund (for hassle, time and detergent for $1) because you didn’t check in the app?” in a way of making fun of their clients, and then just put me on read for 45 min. Then he finally returned and said “we can’t” and left. Absolutely love this attitude here, and I just can’t understand how the company can still get 4.7 stars on App Store. I am pretty sure I’m not the only one who is upset about their service.
