Pixelwoods: Coloring by pixel

Pixel Woods is a fantastic pixel-coloring game. However, forced ads are never enjoyable, and games that rely too heavily on them often lose the opportunity to maintain a strong player base. Many merge games handle this better by offering incentivized ads instead. In those games, whenever a player wants or needs something, an optional rewarded ad is available. This is the approach Pixel Woods should adopt—removing forced ads and replacing them with incentivized ones. Ads may still be somewhat annoying, but they would no longer be pushed to the point where players uninstall the game due to excessiveness. Overall, the game is great, but if forced ads were replaced with incentivized ads, players would be far more inclined to watch ads for rewards rather than having their immersion disrupted by mandatory interruptions, you can keep the turn off annoying ads as even incentivised ads tend to get annoying to the point the player goes and buys it so they don’t have to continue watching ad after ad. It’s more of a win/win for the app developers and the players playing as they won’t be deterred like most colour by pixel games are structured when it comes to ad. Overall fantastic game key point. “Game doesn’t need forced ads. game should have incentivised ads.”

Firstly I want to say I almost never write game reviews but this game is beautiful I mean truly just a great experience, however lets start with the negative first, the new update that allows you to get premium pictures is, if you have premium i'm sure amazing, however the fact that they take up space in your ‘inventory’ when you don't have premium is a little frustrating, secondly it sometimes feels like progressing the story takes a lot of effort and feels like an uphill battle. Secondly I want to state that premium isn't expensive i think its like maybe $5 a month so not expensive at all for all of the perks you get with it, and albums that you can buy generally cost more but usually not over $10 which I also don't have a problem with, and for those that do remember this, the developers have put hours, days, and years into making this game a beautiful fun experience and deserve to be compensated for that work, and the price could be way worse for how great the game is. Lastly lets hit you with all the beautiful positives of this game: 1. the art is beautiful in its simple style and you can tell they put both time and effort into giving us different color options and styles to choose from for each decoration in the game, 2. the story plot is interesting and is constantly being updated and added to as to make sure we have plenty of it to play, 3. theres never a lack of fun, different sized pictures to play and you can even use some coins to change the picture if you don’t like what you get, even if you have to wait for them sometimes (when you think logically about it, it makes sense so you cant just speed run the whole game). Finally to drive it all home Ill say that i also am a chronic game deleter, I often install games only to play them for a couple hours or days and then delete them, however this game has been on my phone for well over a year and I have yet to get even slightly bored with it, I think this game is worth both the time and money (optional) that it takes! thank you for reading my review I know it was lengthy :)

I’ve been playing this game for about a month now and it is absolutely my favorite app on my phone. There are a lot of color by number games out there, however, this is by far my favorite. The graphics are unlike any other color by number game. There is a very cute story that i’ve been addicted to following. This makes it feel rewarding for completing pictures by advancing throughout the game. You are also able to decorate the whole house while playing the story. Very very well thought out and props to the dev team for making this app. I’m an avid fan and can’t wait for more chapters to release!! If your reading this, download it and give it a shot. Also, i have finished the 30 day rewards and the past few days i haven’t gotten a free daily picture. I would suggest adding more days or a new system that allows free pictures every day for long term players. Right now I can only get 1 picture every 3 hours (+3 more with ads) and by spending coins. Other than that i love this app :)
