Rush Royale might not look too spectacular in its adds or on its store page, but it’s a game that makes smart decisions where many other games lack. It’s progression systems are very rewarding to regular players (although a little bit dépendant on watching a couple ads each time you play) but the ads are not forced upon the player which is great! The game has very unique gameplay that is extremely replayable, both for coop modes or pvp. While there are certain aspects of the game that are heavily reliant on RNG, and this can make certain matches feel totally unfair sometimes, it’s part of the challenge of balancing a game like this where the units auto target, randomly spawn in, and randomly change when merging. There are many other things I could point out about the game that I enjoy, but really I think the frequency of updates and development by the devs (for the time being at least) show that this game has much room to grow and a community of devs and players that are totally engaged and enjoying playing Rush Royale. If there was slightly less frustrating RNG I would easily give the game five stars, but as it stands almost all of the systems of combat rely on RNG, which just is not as fun to interact with as the game could be.
On the new season of Rush Royale, game devs decided to nerf already struggling decks by making it harder for them to play and making the monsters stronger and less rewards from defeating them. Amidst a game culture of rare upgrades to pivotal cards in player’s decks. The solution? To open your bank account and purchase their many store offers. The only way to find success in this game at this point is to spend money on it, and not battle pass chump change either. Real upgrades come from buying packages straight out the store which add up after awhile. They made it “easier” to get legendary units by adding summoning, then decided that made the game too easy so they added a necessary material to upgrade said card. Now it’s easier to get those materials than the actual card itself. Or if you’re lucky enough to have enough cards to upgrade, you definitely won’t have enough materials to increase the level. Guess what the only way to ensure you have everything is… I understand the bottom line for a game company is to make profit, but you don’t make the game essentially unplayable to those that play for free/barely pay. You just make it slightly easier for those who do pay. Instead you’ve sold out your free player base for the more financial free players. Idk how much longer I can participate in this social experiment of peer pressured consumerism. Money>>> skill in this game
I’ve been enjoying this game since I downloaded it a few months ago. However, recently more and more bugs keep coming up and none of them are getting fixed while they keep releasing new versions of a battle pass so that you don’t have just one battle pass to buy but 2 or 3! Everything is being over monetized. I have no issue with a company making money. That’s how they stay a business! But when the only new content seems to be pay to win content and tons of monetization while game breaking issues such as the connection bugs are still an issue it makes me wonder why I open the app. I’ve had plenty of games recently where I’m about to win then randomly my screen pops up “the connection can’t be restored” and it gives me a loss. I have great internet so there is no reason that should be happening. Another issue is that players with bad internet actually gain an advantage when running a shaman deck because the way the servers are set up the player with great internet will still lag massively due to the slow internet player meaning you can’t defend against shaman. Many of these bugs cause me to want to stop playing instantly after one happens because it’s demoralizing losing a game that you should have won. If these bugs are fixed and some balance changes happen then I would likely change my review to a 4 or 5 star. I believe this is a fun game but recently has been going in the wrong direction.
