A dreadful user experience from a pointless badly designed app. Why does the EV industry keep on shooting itself in the foot this way. Why is showing the price and accepting contactless payment impossible when the charger has a screen and a contactless logo? Why doesn’t the app show the charge and cost during a session? Why doesn’t Apple Pay work when the exact same credit card that Apple Pay uses does? The only positive thing is that the app is so hilariously bad that it seems not to have actually taken any payment!

I don’t understand a business that invests a huge amount financially installing a network of charging points and developing an app only to be let down by a system that fails to work on every level! Contactless - does not work even after trying several cards. App - forced to download due to contactless not working only to be confronted by a buggy app that doesn’t load properly. Eventually added card details to the app and the only reason I knew it was charging my car was via the app for my EV - the Mer app I left happily spinning whilst it was trying to work out what was going on!

Just got charged twice even though the app/charger failed to even work. Impossible to charge. Impossible to recover forgotten passwords. Even the Call Support link doesn't work. Trying to do this in the rain outside a hospital watching precious visiting hours time with an unwell family member ticking away is a truly sickening experience. Have triggered a chargeback and will be submitting a complaint to their payment provider for fraudulent activity. Apple should ban this rubbish from the App Store, it lets down the whole ecosystem.
