I absolutely adore this app, it has made creating outfits so much easier for me and saves me time from running around in my closet trying to figure out what to wear. I also feel that it helps me become more creative with what pieces I put together since I can easily see everything I own in a consolidated space. The reason I chose this app opposed to others is for the clueless outfit randomizer and the fact that it’s free with NO ADS!
For a few suggestions I think it would be nice to be able to copy outfits to be able to edit them easier. I often wear the same base pieces of outfits but change out my accessories each time, so it would be nice to to copy outfits and then be able to edit them without having to redo the entire thing (if that makes sense). In regards to the planner I wish that if you added a pre made outfit and decided to edit it later it would show up as a entirely new outfit in your wardrobe rather than just changing the original outfit. It would also be nice to be able to go in an edit parts out of the pictures ourselves if the auto background erasing doesn’t fully cut parts out.
Overall I think the app is amazing for how newly established it is. I hope y’all are able to keep it free as long as y’all can, but if y’all do have to start charging please only do it as a flat fee, we do not need more subscription services.

I have been looking for an app like this for years, ever since Polyvore shut down. THIS IS IT!! The app is interface is so intuitive, it makes it so easy to log all of your clothes. You can upload your own pictures and it will remove the background for you, or you can search google images straight from the app to find high quality photos of your clothes! I prefer to find images on Google if I can, because original advertising photos shot in a professional studio look much better than my phone camera photos. You can log your outfits each day and you can see how often you wear each piece of clothing you own. You can put what season a piece of clothing is, the color, size, washing instructions, material, you can add additional photos to any piece of clothing. You can also put how much you paid for it, and based on how many times you documented you wore an item, it will calculate your “price per wear”. There are so many other features I love but there’s too many to list here!
My absolute favorite part about this whole app is that it is 1000% FREE. No ads. No subscriptions. No purchase. TOTALLY FREE. This app is literally perfect!!!

This is a great free app for tracking your daily outfits, the cost per wear of your clothes, and new outfit ideas you have. I especially like the outfit randomizer feature, as I have gotten several new outfit ideas because of it. There are just a few things I wish Whering had/did that I feel like other closet apps do better. First and foremost, I really wish it automatically displayed your garments by category. The default shows them in the order that you uploaded them, but that’s pretty useless. You can choose to filter to only one category (ex: tops) but it’s not the default. And when you’re in “outfit creator” mode, unless I’m mistaken, there’s no way to filter by garment type? Adding a feature like that would make a huge difference. Also, every time you upload a new item the app automatically tries to assign tags to the item, but sometimes it ends up assigning nonsensical tags that I just end up deleting. A little annoying, but not a huge deal. My one other main critique is that I don’t like the appearance of the OOTD calendar. The daily outfits are hard to see because they put the date right on top of them! There are some other closet apps that have much cleaner-looking calendars and I wish Whering would follow suit. Other than that, the app is good and I’ll probably continue to use it as it’s the best completely free closet app I’ve discovered so far.
