Kaptioned: Automatic Subtitles

Although this app does a really good job of generating auto captions that are pretty accurate, once that part is done it’s basically useless. I finished editing captions for a video, then paid for a subscription so I could remove the watermark from the video, and then was never able to actually download it. The interface is so basic there’s nowhere to even look for completed videos, and I went through the process four or five times to finalize the video, only to find that it wasn’t anywhere. I reached out to support for help, and have not heard back from them in the last 24 hours. I seriously doubt I will be even able to cancel my subscription at this point.

Hey David - I just wanted to say thank you for this app. It’s such a gift to me. My Portuguese grandmother recently passed away at 98 and I was hoping to find a translation app that could add subtitles to the dozens of videos we’ve taken of her telling stories over the last decade. I couldn’t find a translation app that allowed me to import video, but I did find *your* app which combined voice recognition and subtitles with multi-language support. What I didn’t expect is that I’d also be able to convert the subtitles into English in the same video. You have no idea how much it means to be able to understand all of my grandmother’s precious stories and keep them for future generations to enjoy, too. Thank you. ❤️

Easy and convenient to use! For my videos, the subtitles are highly accurate! Overall, I highly recommend :-)
