mimi – Cute notes

Been a while, I hadn't used the app frequently after a while but they've made a change I hoped was positive. They finally added more themes for notes after accepting requests. The problem is not only do none of these themes really work (aside from the top 6), is there's a lack of themes considering the advertisement that there'd be more, some of the themes make no sense with the apps art theme too which makes me concerned they used ai instead of making the art themselves. Not trying to accuse but it's valid concern in this day and age. Back to most of the themes not working, when I set a theme the note background immediately turns white. When I exit the note I can see the theme in the small preview window but once I click on it, it's completely white (minus what I typed). Pretty ridiculous considering all the themes before worked perfectly fine. It also just seems like they lost the plot on themes which isn't a huge deal but I also see little point in this app since I downloaded it for cuter looking notes. Older review: Love this app. I started to use it again recently and all of the features stopped working. Can’t change font, can’t add bullet points, can’t change size of letters, can’t use any of the features other than type the note out. So it still works as a note app but unfortunately all the extra features (even the ones that help create an organized note) are not working for some reason.

This app—GASP!—has a paywall some of the stickers are behind, but this paywall doesn't seem to lock any other features. Yay. Mimi has a lot of standard notes-app features, such as some basic formatting and those checkmark things I forget the name of. In addition to this, there is the option to change the color of the text and the background of the note. Backgrounds include solid colors, checkerboard patterns, hearts, clouds, and—of course—cats. As the app advertises, the notes' fonts are customizable. Unfortunately, the app does not support user-installed fonts or font configuration files. The only font options, then, are some English-Japanese fonts and your system's admittedly poor selection of fonts. The app's default font is one of the provided English-Japanese ones. It's a nice-looking hand that fits most of the backgrounds, but it does not support bold, italics, letters with accent marks, or even dashes. For most or all these, you need Avenir or (YUCK!) Helvetica, and both of these look quite out of place against a kitty background. This app is great for creating a diary, making a list, or just writing random stuff down. Yet if you are truly serious about your notes apps, either stick with Notes or find Bear.

I love this note app so much, I use it as my main notes app. The customization is amazing, and it’s very cute. So many fonts, backgrounds, font sizes, bold, underline, colors etc. It’s really useful and visually pleasing too. I hope the developer does not abandon this project/app because I love it. I have some suggestions that I desire for you to implement in a future update because it’ll make your app so much better. 1) please allow me to save custom text colors so I dont have to return to the color wheel. An option for several “saved” colors will be sooo great. 2) please allow me to move my main folders around to organize them in the order I desire! Also, please allow me to delete “All notes” and “Notes” locked folders by default. I want to rename and move them at the least so my topics are clear. and finally, 3) please add more theme colors that can be darker pastel or night mode colors for writing at night, there’s only a few bright ones right now, an I would love more options. 4) please also add the option to add custom backgrounds from out photos (if apple allows this of course) 5) MOST important one! please allow me to make an account that saves all my entries by login! example: I use email to login, and can access th saved entries from all my devices. If i break my phone I would lose so much info! I need a backup option. I love the app thats why I have so much feedback. 6) one more actuallly, the ability to use the notes on ipad horizontal so its big full screen!) 7) im sorry i thought of another! The ability to save my “favorites” of fonts so I can find them fast! THIS is all haha, sorry. If it costs money to add all these, I’ll pay a one time fee if you need! (not ads or subscription tho) but one time fee 10 or less dollars for those features i WILL thank you!!! -maya (hire me to draw more cute backgrounds jkjk just kidding
