I have had the worst experience today purchasing the wrong air purifier only to then google about the child lock feature that apparently the app states it has in its settings with this specific model so iv had to return the other one to pay $80 more for this- the child lock function is THE ONLY REASON I HAVE PURCHASED THIS trusting what google has told me and have been let down after returning, getting a refund which i haven’t received yet. my question was; Does the breville the smart air viral plus have a child lock feature? the answer I got from Google in which i trusted was; Yes, The breville the smart air viral protect plus purifier features a child lock, which can be controlled digitally via the connected smartphone application. CONTROL METHOD: the physical touch panel on the machine itself does not have a dedicated hardware child lock button, but you can activate the child lock function remotely through the BREVILLE HOME CONNECT APP…. BUT WHERE??? I have my air purifier connected and there is no child lock feature in my settings. I am soo angry about this. especially because this is the only feature I NEED MY PURIFIER TO HAVE! and for almost $400 this air purifier was the first one to come up when i searched specifically for the child lock feature!! I’m almost in tears over the run around iv had to do to get the right model that supposedly has child lock only to get home and open it set it up and be utterly disappointed that it’s not there!!! 😡I am unable to use this nor return it as it’s been opened and iv had it running for 5 mins. I can’t place it anywhere out of reach for my 2 year old son in his room so i’m unable to use it as it won’t be doing what it’s suppose to do with my child being able to play around with the buttons all day long
Having instructions in the manual to switch your internet router to 2.4GHz upon set up would’ve been helpful. I spent an hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong before coming here and seeing someone else with the same issue (thank you!). Now that the app is downloaded and connected successfully, I am able to enjoy the benefits of app and voice control. Awesome features (once figured out).
This app was working fine for about a month, now it has completely stopped responding whenever I try to use it, I have done all the needless uninstalling and restarting until I have just given up on it, for a company selling fans with filters for $400 your app is not very good at all. It’s currently still saying it’s 18c whenever I press a button it doesn’t respond I have to turn the fan and adjust by the remote lucky comes with one but I didn’t pay as much I did for a fancy fan with wifi to not be able to use the wifi. it also took a lot of restarting and trying to connect it to the wifi and to sync up with my Airrounder connect that I had to keep doing it for 30 minutes before it finally connected. When it was working there is a lot of input lag and the rotation button has to be pressed 3 times to stop it from rotating, and when you’re trying to get it in a nice position that can get really annoying having to keep pressing button hoping it will work and stop where you want it. The set temperature as shuts the entire device down it gets to the temperature you set it too which is very annoying cause if you set it to 22c and it gets to that temp in let’s say 10 minutes and you would like to STAY WARM you’ll have to turn it on again.
