Transcribe α: Audio To Text

Everything is great until you edit with keyboard by backspacing to delete or use the trashcan icon to delete the sentence. If you continue from there, all the previously deleted text pops back up and lets you continue transcribing after deleted section pops back up!

Dictation is an outstanding app! I did virtually everything I could do (except maybe not reviewing it at all) to avoid writing this review but the developer essentially forced my hand. I downloaded Dictation during a promotion which entitled me to a free upgrade to the Pro version. It never let me get the free upgrade to the Pro version. I practically begged the developer to honor what it offered during the promotion. No matter how many times I contacted the developer, I never heard back. I even informed the developer that I would cut the app in my review (not as a threat but out of frustration more than for a technical reason) if developer continued to ignore my Pro upgrade issue). This is so a frustratingly simple matter that I really wished the developer would have avoided by simply doing what it promised to do. Regrettably the developer chose not to leave me the option of not reviewing the app at all.

This scammer keeps adding non-functional apps to the App Store and keeps ripping off consumers. Phony review numbers, listed as free upgrade, but Upgrade button replaced with “Check It Out” button - so no way to upgrade for free. Some time later a pro version will be available for at least $1.99, but none of the pro functions will work. Apple does nothing to protect consumers and AppAdvice keeps giving him a forum to scam more victims. His website is a fraud - “available 24/7” - but never there and never responds to messages that probably never go anywhere. People need to stay away from this fraudulent so-called developer. When he launches a new “product” and takes away the “Upgrade” button and substitutes the “Check It Out” button, all his other bogus apps show the “Check It Out” button so, unfortunately for him, no one can upgrade any of them during that time also...an obvious mistake that the “developer” cannot fix, so he recently changed his strategy. In a week or so, a separate “App” will show up in the App Store as the “Pro” version for $1.99 or so, that will take your money, but it will still be the same non-functional App that will not work and will not have any of the promised/listed upgrades. To his credit, it shows he is reading the reviews and changing his scam “Apps” to make sure he can scam money from his victims without delivering anything that is useful or even working as promised. It is sad that the App Store ignores all the complaints and keeps approving all his “Apps” to rip off his victims and then legitimate companies like AppAdvice keep promoting him and his old and new SCAM-WARE even after all the complaints and evidence show what he is doing to his victims. Sad, sad, world where the predator is given all the rights and the victims have none.
