Tried it again, but no, if I’ve even opened the app and closed it, the next time I get in the car, I get a weather report rather than the music or podcast I was listening to. *** Left the original review below, but wow, it’s worse than before. I close the app, remove it from background, try to restart the podcast that was interrupted for a weather report and rather than the podcast playing (when I push play in the podcast app), the weather report starts again. Deleting until this is fixed ****** New version takes forever to load then steals the audio from anything else you’re listening to, automatically playing video whether you want it or not. Please fix
I really don’t like the new KTVN app. Please go back to the previous format that was easier to use. The story icons are to small (now giving lots of unused white space on the screen), the font below the picture does not have adequate contrast to the background and is too small - both resulting it the text being hard to read, the pictures themselves do not display the proper aspect ratio - making them look funny, and finally, there are way to many of the article that are video based. Bring back the text based stories, as reading these is more often more convenient than listing to the story. Will I need to go to another local news station’s app to get my news?
I check my News 2 app daily and when I updated the KTVN Channel 2 News app I see there’s no more headlines, no CA or NV options on the menu, it’s all video links. I miss being able to scroll thru and see story text headlines and the ability to jump to different areas such as featured, NV, etc. Hoping it’s a just conversion or staffing issue and the missing functionality will be restored or sadly I’ll be removing it as I dislike the format.
